Sunday, June 7
Breakfast
2:30 pm
Five strips of bacon
English Muffin w/ Havarti cheese
a banana
Lunch
8 pm
Pho Campbell's chicken broth
two immitation crab legs
(minus a bit for my cat, Zoloft)
bean threads
yellow chili pepper, sliced
two cloves garlic
two green onions
1/3 cucumber
a little green pepper
one mushroom
pickled ginger
soy sauce
bean sprouts
fresh basil
msg
Well, after I tested the immitation crab legs on my cat, I went through with it. They're not too bad, although they "unravel" when boiled. I don't think I'll be buying them again, though.
Snack
9:45 pm
hamburger Just a plain 'ol burger with mayo, mustard and ketchup. I suppose it was a bit remarkable in the fact it was shaped like a squished banana and sandwiched between two hot dog rolls. It was rather large, too.

Saturday, June 6
Snack
2 am
corn chips
refried black beans
picanté sauce
green pepper

Breakfast
2:30 pm
leftover stuff from last night's (see immediately above)
two toaster waffles - one with Ms. Butterworth's syrup, one with Smucker's blueberry syrup
Lunch
3:30 pm
From the Uptown Bar and Grill:
reuben
French fries
onion rings
coffee
There wasn't enough money on the table for the check. I think I paid for some of my "friend's" meals. And I shared my onion rings with everyone.
Snack
7:00 pm
large Coke
Nestlé Buncha Crunch
a few handfulls of popcorn
Was watching Deep Impact with Tom. The movie was one big long goodbye scene with music in the same key throughout. The Buncha Crunch did not impress me. Cheap waxy chocolate with some crunchy stuff in it. The nuggests were something like the the darker chunks in pidgeon shit.

black bean burrito
1/2 banana
Coke

english muffin
havarti cheese

Monterey jack cheese
green bell pepper
a green onion
a mushroom

Just choped all them veggies up, put 'em in the shell with the beans an cheese, and nuked it for two minutes. Man, Havarti cheese rules! Especially when melted. Nice and greasy.

To get your eggs to stick together while poaching, add a tablespoon or three of vinegar to the water. A friend called me from jail this morning.

fuji apple
Coke
Italian sausage
bun
ketsup
This time I cooked them all under the broiler (see "snack 11:15 pm, June 3")

1/2 banana
kiwi
1/2 cup broccoli, chopped
2 green onions, chopped
3 cherry tomatoes, chopped
3 mushrooms, sliced
Monterey jack cheese
picante sauce
fresh lemon juice
tortilla shell
Just put the vegetables in the shell, dribble some lemon juice over them, put in the cheese and picante sauce. Nuke it on high for 2 minutes.

I usually wouldn't put the lemon juice in and I think it may have been better without it.
Snack
2:00 pm
Campbell's chicken gumbo soup
saltine crackers
Bugles
Coke
Snack
4:45 pm
Big Mac
Shopping at Rainbow $26.72

Man, I've never seen green peppers as big as they had today! Got two of them. Thought that the hot Italian sausages I got were precooked, they're not. Maybe I'll make hot Italian sausage sushi. I hate cooking stuff that you have to be attentive to while waiting.
Shopping at
Lao Market
$3.04

My favorite SE Asian grocery was closed, a woman sitting in a car suggested I try one that's across the street. You have to go through all these winding halls to get there, I think I went in the employee entrence. The old Hmong people stopped bundling vegetables (or whatever they are always doing sitting on large white pails) and mutely stared at me. I don't think they get many Caucasian customers, there's no signs for the store. I specifically wanted to get fresh basil, which is literally 1/10 the price as at Rainbow. They didn't have it.
Shopping at
The Wedge
$4.25

Went with nick, listened to Ezra's band's (Audio Magazine) tape in the car. Ran into Kerry there. Nick saw a freind, David, who he spoke to for a LONG time. Got my fresh basil, kinda pricy but not nearly what it is at Rainbow.
Dinner
9:30 pm
a big salad mixed greens
1/3 bell pepper
3 mushrooms
a carrot
3 green onions
bean sprouts
alfalfa sprouts
Marzetti's sour ream peppercorn dressing

Snack
11:15 pm
Italian sausage on bun Italian sausage (uncooked)
1/4 vidalia onion, chopped
yellow chili pepper, sliced
vegetable oil
ketsup
whole wheat hot dog bun
Heat up the oil in a frypan, add the stuff, fry it covered on medium heat 15 minutes, uncover, fry another 10 minutes, toast bun, dump stuff on bun, eat.

Tuesday, June 2
Breakfast
1:30 am
1 liter Cap'n Crunch w/1% milk I know it was exactly a liter because I didn't have a clean bowl, so I used a measuring cup.
Lunch
1:30 pm
hamburger Approx.1/4 lb 85% lean ground beef
1/2 Anaheim Pepper, diced
1/4 Sweet Red Pepper, diced
1/4 Sweet Red Pepper, diced
2 green onions, chopped
5-6 saltine crackers, crushed
1 tiny egg
Black Pepper
MSG
hamburger bun

This was from the freezer. I made a whole pound of hamburger this way, the first three burgers fell apart when cooked, but this one, which had been frozen several days stayed together quite nicely.
snack
4:15 pm
corn chips
refried beans
Coke
Dinner
7:00 pm
Pho
A couple handfuls of Bugles while I was cooking

1 can Campbell's chicken broth
1 can water
2 cloves garlic, sliced
2 green onions, sliced
5 large leaves flowering kale
three white mushrooms, quartered
1/4 cup broccoli flowers
three cherry tomatoes, halved
1/3 cucumber, in strips
two slices pickled ginger
6 oz firm tofu, cubed
"clump" of bean thread
2 tsp. peanut oil
pinch MSG
dash soy sauce

Wow, the cucumber flavor really came through nicely! This is easy to make. Just heat up a pan, add the oil, let it get hot and add the garlic and onions, and let them get soft and translucent. Then add the rest of the ingredients, except for the bean threads and boil it about a minute. Then break the clump of bean threads in half, add them, and boil it for another minute.
